About the role

We have an opportunity for a Demand Controller to join our Team at our Accolade Park site close to the M5 near Bristol. The Demand Controller will be working as the integral link between the UK & EMEA Commercial businesses and A-Park Production Schedulers, Supply Planning, 3rd Party Supply managers and A Park inventory team, driving a customer first ethos at all times.

About the role – Key Accountabilities 

  • Manage and have overall responsibility for all Commercial & Demand led production plan change requests, understanding financial and strategic implications to both commercial and operational BU’s.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of the near term (3 month) demand plan, in collaboration with the Demand Planning Team and Customer Relationship / Service Team. Also responsible for liaising with Supply Planning and alerting the business to significant volume demands above forecast and within lead time.
  • Ensure visibility across the business of products which are constrained vs latest demand requirements; in order to seek cost effective solutions to resolve constraints and/or agree allocations to customers to minimize overall impact.
  • Attend the weekly Exception Report review, both identifying issues and potential solutions to maximise overall customer service levels and best business outcome.
  • Communicate short and mid-term identified issues & availability constraints, working collaboratively with Commercial Sales leads to agree allocation strategies when required.
  • Work collaboratively with Demand Planning Team to provide swift conclusive decision making to customer opportunities and significant promotional uplifts, ensuring existing commitments aren’t compromised and cost/business impact is minimized.
  • Work with Marketing Operations and Commercial Sales leads to manage product exit strategies in order to minimise sku complexity, any obsolescence/SMI exposure and overall working capital implications.
  • Review, agree and manage prioritisation of brought in finished goods from port / rail head in conjunction with Freight and Warehousing teams.

Functional Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for optimising the UK & EMEASA regions demand fluctuations within supply lead times in order to maximise product availability whilst
  • minimising cost impact to the business.
  • Responsible for managing product allocations across both UK and EMEASA BU’s. 

About you

  • Working knowledge of overall Supply Chain, Operations & Customer service
  • Microsoft office knowledge, Excel, Word & Power Point
  • Wine knowledge ideally WSET level 2
