The Champagne Company is a Champagne retailer supplying online customers who buy premium champagnes, wines and spirits online and customers within the on trade (wholesale - bars and restaurants). The Champagne Company are the leading Independent retailer of several large Champagne brands as well as the only Krug Ambassade Online retailer in the world.
We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to support our continued growth. Reporting to the Finance Controller, you will be responsible for providing support with the account management of corporate and trade customers and the stock and ordering process.
Within this role you will assist in the management of stock and orders required for Corporate & HNW Customers and their Orders. You will also work closely with the On Trade and Online Managers to assist with stock / management and processing for trade, online orders, goods in and out and invoicing.
This position will be based at our offices in Birmingham.

• Excellent level of customer service. Clear and well spoken telephone manner.
• Exceptional levels of numerical competancy and accurancy.
• Self motivated and diligent.
• Experienced with customer CRM tools. Stock management systems and SAGELINE 50 preferred.
• Previous experience /knowledge in a wine & drinks environment essential, WSET qualifications preferred.
• Excellent time management and reporting Skills. Consistent and ability to work accurately and effectively under time pressure.
• Responsible. Supportive - a team player demonstrating loyalty and commitment to colleagues.
• Able to effectively troubleshoot and problem solve, and follow up to implementation.
• Flexible – to support colleagues and work hours required for the successful completion of tasks i.e. at peak periods such as pre-Christmas.
Parkling Available. 10 minute walk from Birmingham Snow Hill or New Street Station and bus stops and parking on site.
Candidates living locally is preferred.
Salary: Dependent on Experience and right person.Starting Salary from £18,000 pa.
Monday - Friday. 35 hours (10 to 5pm)
