The Champagne Company is a Champagne retailer supplying online customers who buy premium champagnes, wines and spirits online and customers within the on trade (wholesale - bars and restaurants). The Champagne Company are the leading Independent retailer of several large Champagne brands as well as the only Krug Ambassade Online retailer in the world.
This position will be based at our offices in Birmingham. Within this role you will manage On-Trade and Corporate customers and their orders through to completion and develop relationships through tastings and product sales and information support.
We are looking for career applicants with ability, intent and scope to progress to senior management level.
• Previous experience in a customer service role using written as well as telephone communication channels.
• Excellent levels of customer service. Clear and well spoken and great telephone manner. Ability to work effectively with a variety of customers.
• Previous experience with customer CRM tools, Stock management systems SAGELINE 50 an advantage
• Previous experience in a wine & drinks environment essential / WSET qualifications preferred.
• Excellent time keeping, IT and reporting Skills.
• Responsible. Supportive - a team player demonstrating loyalty and commitment to colleagues.
• Able to use own initiative. Enthusiastic, proactive - anticipate problems and show initiative for generating new ideas to improve results.
• Able to effectively troubleshoot and problem solve, and follow up to implementation.
• Flexible – willing to undertake a range of tasks for the effective running of the department and to work hours required for the successful completion of tasks i.e. at peak periods such as Christmas.
• Great personal skills and a likeable member of the team yet effective at managing other team members.
Salary dependent upon experience and the right person.
