This position is for someone joining our Trade Team with experience in the wines and drinks business based in a centrally located position in Birmingham. Your role will include managing orders of our on-trade customers, which include leading bars, clubs and Michelin Star restaurants.
Your role will also include personally managing existing accounts, developing and producing individual monthly sales incentives and sales promotions for these customers, as well as gaining new accounts.
You will also work with suppliers to run trade tastings for customers and ensure stocks are available for orders.
Skills Required:
Preference for on-trade sales experience, or industry experience and strong knowledge of the drinks market.
Strong knowledge and a passion and interest in wines and spirits.
Excellent levels of customer service. Clear and well-spoken and great telephone manner. Ability to work effectively with a variety of customers. Good communicator, approachable.
Excellent timekeeping, excel and CMS order management (Sage Line 50 or similar) input and reporting skills for a weekly and monthly report.
Supportive team player and used to working in a small SME environment, demonstrating loyalty and commitment to the company, colleagues and customers.
Able to use own initiative. Enthusiastic, proactive - anticipate problems and show initiative for generating new ideas to improve results.
Additional Application Instructions
Desired WSET Qualifications: Level 3 Award in Wines (or Level 3 Award in Wines and Spirits) or equivalent.

Starting salary from 25,500 to 28,000 dependent on experience, pension, private medical and annual bonus.
