The Champagne Company is a Champagne online retailer of premium champagnes, wines and spirits online. The Champagne Company is the leading UK Independent retailer of several large Champagne brands as well as the only Krug Ambassade Online retailer in the world.
This position will be based at our offices in Birmingham, we are currently rotating days to allow some WFH - Working From Home after an initial induction period.
As the first point of contact representing the Company, a warm, efficient Customer Service welcome, manner, and clear voice is essential. Within this role, you will be answering the phone, speaking directly with customers who are calling to place an order of a product/s from the website, processing orders fully to completion and being part of a friendly Online Team.
Essential Skills:
§ An excellent level of written English.
§ MS Office knowledge - Teams, MS Outlook, Excel, Word etc
§ Excellent attention to detail, timekeeping, IT and good reporting skills
§ Excellent levels of customer service. Clear and well-spoken and friendly yet efficient
§ Previous experience in a customer service role comfortable using both email and telephone.
Desired skills:
§ Previous experience with customer CRM tools, and e-commerce order processing systems Experience and knowledge of Wine/Spirits - WSET Level 2 preferred
§ Ability to work effectively with a variety of customers and enjoys the challenge of any time sensitive problem solving.
§ Excellent, timely levels of communication with colleagues and customers.
§ Good attention to detail, timekeeping, IT and reporting skills
Top Accountabilities:
§ Answer enquiries over the phone and assist with new and existing order queries
§ Maintain and regularly update Customer Service documentation
§ Liaise with the team and other departments ie warehouse and stock control services
§ Using e-commerce systems to process customer orders
§ Update Customer service communications as required.

This position is a permanent, 9 - 5.30pm full-time role that will begin with a 3-month probationary period.
Due to growth - recruitment is for both 5 day and 4 day roles.
We are a friendly team of 14 and based half a mile from the city centre and require a supportive, all-hands-on deck attitude at the pre and Christmas peak period.
Own transport is essential and the successful candidate should live within a reasonable distance of the HQ; remote working is possible after a minimum service period.
From £21,500 dependent on skillset and experience.
