FromVineyardsDirect is an online retailer, specialising in B2C private wine sales. We offer a small range of delicious drinking wines, principally from France, Italy and Spain, imported direct from the growers at prices well below traditional merchants.
You would be working within a closely-knit team, with a positive working environment. There are plenty of opportunities to taste many wines (and a good discount) and to make a large impact on a growing company.
Daily Responsibilities:

Generation of wine sales to new and existing customers through both inbound and outbound communication.

Take and process all customer orders generated by telephone, email and internet. Forward processed orders to the warehouse team for onward dispatch and delivery to the customer.

Provision of accurate wine information and recommendations for customers.

Proactive monitoring of all deliveries to ensure customers receive their orders in good condition and within the requested time-frame.

Regular provision of advice on possible marketing campaigns including wines, pricing and relevant USPs; subsequent preparation and distribution of marketing material using both Mail Merge and Dotmailer.

Daily management of shared customer service email inbox and other incoming customer communications; follow-up, action and resolution of queries and complaints.

Direct liaison with our courier and warehouse team to ensure customer queries can be handled and resolved quickly and efficiently
Other responsibilities:

Aiding in planning and executing events and tastings

Aiding the Head of Logistics with stock management
-
Aiding the Head of Logistics with management of internal databases tracking and managing en primeur orders and any orders for pre-shipment wines.

Aiding the Marketing team with the production of both targeted and general marketing emails

Ensuring the website is kept up to date and accurate
Skills, knowledge and personal attributes:

Excellent written and spoken English and great communication skills

Forward thinking, proactive and resilient
-
Experience in a customer facing role
-
Interest in wine, with WSET Level 2 or above preferred, but not required
-
Excellent time management is crucial
The Role:
This role will start with a three month probation period, with the opportunity for a permanent position once passed. This three month probation period will include a one month trial.
