Data Content Administrator – Data Team

Role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic graduate who wants to pursue a career in data. The role gives you the opportunity to develop skills in a number of areas including data operations and product development. There will also be the opportunity to continue your learning about wine and how the wine market works. You will be an important member of a small data team, working with both internal and external stakeholders and a data processing team in India. The role involves the development and maintenance of the LWIN* database, researching new wines and spirits and administering a database of images. Ad-hoc work can be related to our marketing and sales activity, customer education on LWIN and assisting with hard-to-match customer lists. 

*LWIN is the unique ID developed by Liv-ex and being adopted more widely across the fine wine industry to help improve the overall supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Development and maintenance of the LWIN database
• Identification and correction of erroneous LWIN entries
• Responding to customer requests for new LWINs
• Visiting customers and stakeholders to promote LWIN adoption
• Development and maintenance of a proprietary image database
• Administration of an accompanying website
• Ad-hoc support for other data-team tasks
• You will also be expected to develop your knowledge of MySQL and Liv-ex systems Skills &

Experience Essential:

• A strong interest in the fine wine market
• WSET level 3 or equivalent experience
• Curiosity about how data can help you understand a market
• A logical thought process and able to interpret requests
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and Office in general
• Educated to degree level
• Fluent in English, both technical and conversational

Desirable (any of the skills or experience below will likely assist the candidate in their application):

• VBA skills for Excel and Access
• Other qualifications related to wine or data

Reporting

The role will report to the Data Operations Manager. Remuneration Competitive salary. There is likely to be a bonus based on company performance. BUPA/ life/ income protection cover.
