Gusbourne is a premium English Sparkling Wine producer based in Appledore, Kent. The estate was established in 2004 and has continued to grow since then - we recently opened the Nest, our retail and visitor facility at the winery. An exciting opportunity exists to join the team at the Nest this season for a part-time Cellar Door Host.

 

Hours

·       Primarily Saturdays and Sundays, 10am-5pm

·       Occasional work in evenings and on weekdays

·       A minimum of 28 hours per month

·       Seasonal role from April to October

 

Duties

·       Acting as initial point of contact for Gusbourne visitors

·       Assist in managing tastings and tours for individuals and groups

·       Food and drink preparation

·       Maintaining a clean and safe cellar door

·       Retail sales using our till system

 

What we are looking for

Most importantly, this role is all about having a warm and welcoming attitude to customers, so we need someone who is immediately engaging, with exceptional people skills and a focus on excellent customer service.

 

We also require:

·       Good general wine knowledge. Wine qualifications desirable, such as WSET Level 2 or 3

·       At least one year prior experience in retail or face-to-face customer service

·       Someone who enjoys a challenge and has a hands on approach

·       An aptitude to learn detailed and sometimes technical information about all aspects of wine production
