Job Description

An exciting opportunity to join our team with exposure to the entire winemaking process for still and sparkling wines. The successful candidate will be given full training across all equipment and processes. The position is a hands-on and physically active role. They will be a key member of the team responsible for the upkeeping the quality, organisation, and execution of winemaking activities for our 250 tonne winery in West Sussex.

Key responsibilities within this role include: 

 

-          Day-to-day Cellar operations

-          Ensuring cellar hygiene practices are maintained

-          Training of casual cellar staff

-          Identifying and helping to solve issues as they arise

-          Ensuring H&S procedures are maintained and improved

 

An ideal candidate would have the following:

-          An interest in wine!

-          A team player attitude and good sense of humour

-          Strong communication skills

-          Attention to detail

-          Effective time management skills

-          Able to lift and carry up to 25kg and able to work on and around ladders

-          Previous experience in similar roles
