Reserve Wines in Alty Market is like no other place you will have worked and it needs a Manager like no other to successfully run it.

Each day is different to the last, new customers, new wines and new challenges to test your adaptability.

We are looking for a strong manager with proven skills in people management, stock management, supplier relations, and customer relations as well as being able to have fun and enjoy the work they do.

YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:

• The overall running of the business and full P&L accountability
• Delivering exceptional levels of customer service by providing advice and assistance on selecting wine.
• Maximizing sales through enthusiasm, knowledge, sales techniques, and striving to achieve personal targets.
• Maintaining high personal and professional standards with ability to multitask, improvise and adapt to all situations whilst keeping the customer’s needs first.
• Excellent customer service – we love happy customers
• Counter sales and shop sales.
• Effective ordering, communicating with suppliers to get the best deals and stock rotation.
• Follow daily opening and closing procedures.
• Support with marketing in the local community and maximising own internal database.
• Wine Tastings – organise, run and present monthly or weekly shop tastings.
• Write and update tasting notes.
• Build on Local Wine Delivery Service.
• Some heavy lifting, carrying stock and maintaining store stockrooms.
• Flexible working hours; Shop is open 6 days a week ranging from 9am-10pm.

Desired/Required skills or experience:

• Management experience (essential)
• Wine knowledge (desirable)
• Retail experience (desirable)
• WSET Qualification or similar (advantageous)
• Passion for wine (essential)
