Office and Accounts assistant
Hatton & Edwards Fine Wine Merchants specialise in buying and selling fine wines and spirits. We are a small team with a hard-working, fun loving culture. We are a fast-growing company with much opportunity for progression.
We are looking for an experienced administrative assistant with a sharp eye for detail.
The main responsibilities include:
· Office Administration support, including maintaining and updating filing systems, answering the telephone and managing office stock supplies
· Entering data appropriately into Sage 50 Accounts
· Debt chasing and managing customer and supplier accounts
· Assisting with month end reporting
· Chasing overdue invoices by email and telephone
· General accounts’ housekeeping
· Reconciling between relevant documents and Sage, including preparing bank reconciliations
· Assisting in the general upkeep and smooth running of the office
· Ensuring highly accurate records are maintained
· Performing ad hoc tasks as required
The successful candidate will be eager and quick to learn; have excellent organisational skills; have an eye for accuracy and efficiency; and a proven ability to work quickly and flexibly.
Requirements
· Experience using Sage 50 accounts (required)
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, showing an ability to prioritise
· An eye for detail and accuracy
· Clear and confident communication skills, including a professional and appropriate phone manner
Salary: Dependent on Experience from £25,000 pa. Monday - Friday.
(9.30am to 5.30pm)
