We are looking for a passionate and ambitious Sommelier or Junior Sommelier to join our Beverage team.
As a Sommelier/Junior Sommelier you will be expected to work closely with the Head Sommelier in all aspects of the wine service in the restaurant and contribute to the development of the wine list.
The right candidate will be responsible for both the serving of wine in the restaurant and helping with the bar service. You will recommend and sell wines to customers both to complement their tastes and to pair with their menu choices. There will also be cellar duties where the cellar needs to be maintained and deliveries unpacked.
WSET or equivalent Sommelier qualification (preferred but not essential).
We offer competitive rates of pay as well as staff meals. This is a full time position working 40-45 hours per week to include evenings and weekends.
You must be able to prove eligibility to live and work in the UK to apply for this role and have a minimum 2 years experience in the restaurant trade. As we are a small team it is crucial that we find someone who shows teamwork and is open to giving a hand outside of the specific Sommelier duties. A positive attitude is thus key.
