Salary: £18,128 per annum
In this role you will be part of the malt production team responsible for cleaning and maintaining the production plant and to assist in the safe and efficient production and despatch of malt at our Bridlington site. As Shift Relief you will provide cover for operator holiday and both short and long term sickness absences and any other potential absences e.g. training. When not providing shift relief you will work a day pattern and will undertake cleaning and general duties.
Principle Responsibilities:
To provide shift relief as required for operators working a 3 shift / 7 day or 2 shift / 5 day pattern. The Company will aim to give you a minimum of 24 hours-notice of requirement to cover a shift.
To carry out cleaning schedules as required.
To operate plant and equipment for barley intake, malt production and despatch at Flamborough Maltings, Bridlington.
To comply with company policies on health and safety, food safety, environmental issues and other relevant standards as applicable.
To follow all company GMP, hygiene, environmental, H&S and personnel policies and rules.
To work flexibly to respond to the changing demands of the work, adapting to new work routines and practices accordingly.

Flexible and adaptable to meet the demands of this role
Self-motivated and enthusiastic to learn this new role.
Understanding of malt production.
Capable of meeting the physical demands of this role.
Hours of Work:
You will work a day pattern 8.00 am to 4.00 pm with a 30 minute unpaid break required covering Monday to Friday unless required to work as shift relief. As shift relief you could be required to provide cover for the 3 shift / 7 day pattern or the 2 shift / 5 day pattern. An average of 37½ hours per week.
Rate of Pay:
Starter rate during probationary period: £14,502 per annum.
Full rate upon successful completion of probationary period: £18,128 per annum.
When working a shift pattern you will be paid at the appropriate rate:
3 shift/7 day – Starter: £8.51/h. Full - £10.64/h
2 shift /5 day – Starter: £8.02 /h. Full - £10.03/h
