TOUR AND TASTING AMBASSADOR

MAY - OCTOBER | FRIDAY - SUNDAY | 10AM - 6PM

OUR BUSINESS:

We pride ourselves on our excellent hospitality and wine education for our guests and are looking for someone to join our team as a dedicated tour and tasting ambassador to offer a high quality experience to customers.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

  • Hosting our weekly tours and tastings on site including:
  • Setting up for the tours before guests arrive, ensuring the tasting room is clean and prepped with stemware, water jugs, water glasses and wine.
  • Greeting guests on arrival and making them feel welcome and relaxed before the tour commences.
  • Providing engaging and entertaining tours within the vines followed by a tutored tasting.
  • Processing vouchers where necessary.
  • Clearing away stemware, and tidying after the tasting.
  • Hosting the Squerryes tasting bar. This will include serving drinks, giving guests the best Squerryes experience. Pairing Squerryes sparkling wine with confidence and sharing knowledge of the product and pairings.
  • Being responsible for keeping the tasting bar clean, tidy and fully stocked.
  • Assisting with drinks service on the evenings we have tasting menus. This will mainly be to deliver wine flights as a pairing for small dishes.
  • Helping in the Cellar door where necessary

KEY ATTRIBUTES OF SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

  • We are looking for a committed, motivated and confident tour guide within a customer facing role who can join Squerryes winery working every Friday, Saturday and Sunday throughout the busy Summer period.
  • A good sense of humour and a great work ethic is key, as is an enjoyment in talking to customers.
  • As this role involves physical activity, we require someone who will be able to be on their feet for a large portion of the day, walking the vines, carrying equipment and wine, and be energetic doing so.
  • WSET level 2 or 3 preferred and an interest in English Wine.
