It’s a very exciting time here at IMD – we are currently experiencing growth and as our markets mature, our business continues to move from strength to strength… you could say this is just like one of our own fine single malts! We have even bigger plans ahead of us. Our business is thriving and as we expand, we now have a requirement to appoint a Trade Marketing Assistant into our new UK Business Unit.

To be considered for this role, candidates must firstly be able to demonstrate clearly that they have previous working experience in a similar role. Knowledge and understanding of the whisky and spirits market is also a given. Having a working knowledge of all types of trade activities in the industry would be highly beneficial. This role will be the backbone support to all of our UK sales and brand team members, therefore experience working with salesforce or another sales and account management database would be key. Candidates must be familiar with processing and handling product samples and have had practical experience in the sector across trade and consumer advertising activities, POS and sponsorship opportunities. We will be expecting the Trade Marketing Assistant to be able to conduct tailored market research and provide levels of thought leadership on trends and analyses to support the business’ aims and objectives across the sales and brand teams within the UK market. Additional requirements will be supporting trade show events and working as point of contact for agency support, as required.

An industry experienced and organised administrator, confident, articulate and a self-starter who is flexible in their approach, would be right up our street! We need a team player, who is positive and proactive and who is curious to consistently learn and develop, and where appropriate question ‘the norm’. The principles of continuous improvement and a desire to provide customer excellence needs to be the beating heart of your individual offering!

This role would also suit an exceptional graduate who has industry exposure in a similar role, someone who has come from a marketing or general business discipline background, and someone who is tech savvy, and a frequent user of all MS packages and a variety of social media platforms.
