In this job you are one of the linchpins of the operation, you are responsible for the receiving, storage, safety and dispatching of all the stock being delivered to customers. You are in charge of the warehouse team and control its day to day operation.

You are fundamental in the liaison between the office and the warehouse and have the full gamut of responsibility that goes with it. The warehousing team are part of the operations department and works very closely with the Transport supervisor and the customer services team leader to facilitate every aspect of Jascots' award winning service. The facility at which we work is a modern bespoke building and the site is designed to operate in the most effective way.  

You control the stock, the team and are in a position of responsibility to run your department in order to make the whole system work. You are expected to be fully able to deal with the challenges that may arise from time to time in this fast paced industry you must be able to use a level of flexibility and good judgement to make decisions in your own right and in collaboration with the supply chain, transport and the customer services teams.

One of your key responsibilities will be to help develop your team members and to recruit first class candidates into your team as our company grows.

The job is both office and warehouse based but it is far from routine orientated, every day is different due to the nature of our growing business; it calls for a dynamic proactive individual who is skilled and experienced in both aspects of the environment.

The job requires you to work from Monday to Friday 0700hrs to 1600hrs with breaks; you will be required on a limited number weekends throughout the year.

Skills and Experience Required  

-    At least 2 years' experience in the warehouse environment.

-    Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word,

-    Management Experience

-    Excellent Communication Skills

Key Activities

*    Managing the efficient running of Jascots' warehouse.

*    Manage and maintain the stock.  

*    Manage third parties who deliver on behalf of jascots.

*    Be responsible for maintaining the highest levels of health and safety.

*    Assist the operations director in the successful running of the operations department.

*    Provide a very high standard of administrative support to the company

*    Communicate regularly with the operations department to deliver a joined-up service.

*    Manage and supervise the order fulfilment process to ensure 98.5% error free orders

*    To develop personal skills, knowledge and capability of self and team through on-going training.

*    To maintain high standards of conduct and professionalism
