Due to continued high growth, we are seeking to appoint an Operational Buyer who will have the responsibility for supporting the global procurement team. |
| Responsibilities |
- Ensuring that Suppliers deliver materials and services as required
- Working together with the factory Demand Planner, establishing the list of requirements and sending the purchase orders to the suppliers
- Managing the day to day claim with suppliers and escalation of critical issues to Buyers
- Ensuring accuracy of procurement related transactional data
- Establishing and monitoring procurement KPIs
- Ensuring the agreed service level with internal stakeholders.
Although your responsibilities will be primarily linked to the Warrington Site, you will be part of the International Buying Team and report into the Global Procurement Director. You will be a real support to the International Buying Team. |
| Skills required |
The ideal candidate will have:
• Over a sustained period has demonstrated success in ensuring supply through correct and timely procurement transactions such as contracts, purchase orders and call offs.
• Has demonstrated the ability to understand purchase requestors’ needs (factory planners, requestors in e.g. marketing, HR) and support fulfilment on a transactional basis.
• Proven strong supplier and stakeholder management skills, that have had a direct impact on performance and change
• Good business writing skills
• Excellent Excel and IT skills
• Strong communication and presentation skills or the ability to develop these
• And be self-motivated with an enthusiastic ‘can do’ attitude and a natural courage and determination to win.
• Basic negotiation skills
• Ability to build networks at all levels
• Result focus and cooperative approach
• An additional language would be advantageous but non-essential
