Cellar Hand & Warehouse Assistant (Wine Jobs: Vineyards & Cellars )

Denbies Wine Estate, England largest vineyard in the UK and producers of Award winning wines are currently recruiting for an experienced Cellar Hand & Warehouse Assistant.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintenance and sanitation of the cellar, barrels, tanks, hoses, presses etc.
• Barrel topping, filling,
• Racking, blending and transfers
• Enrichment & DE acidifications
• Inoculations
• Assisting winemaker
• Assist in receiving fruit, loading and emptying presses (10-20kg crates)
• Crushing de-stemming
• Punch downs and pump overs

• To work closely with the Vineyard team during the Harvest period.
• To be trained to the required level to operate the Company Fork Lift Truck in order to locate wine stock to, and from the Winery warehouse.

Person Specification;

• Good time keeping
• A team player
• Flexible
• Able to lift 10-20kg crates
• Comfortable with physical work
• A forklift license would be advantageous but is not essential
• Cellar Experience Essential
• Ability to communicate with good reading and writing skills.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours during Harvest Season which is between September and October.

This is a full time role working 5 days out 7 between the hours of 8 am to 4.30 pm. £ Salary will be negotiable depending on experience.
