Full-Time - Assistant Shop Manager. 

We run a professional, fun and knowledgeable wine retail store as well as offering our customers the opportunity to drink on-site in the Wine Bank from our Enomatic machines.

The role includes responsibilites to grow wine sales for private & trade customers with a focus on repeat & regular trade, maximising both turnover and profit.  The successful candidate will bring creative thinking to the role to attract new customers and grow sales.

 KEY SKILLS

• ·      Excellent customer service
• ·      Actively give the customer attention throughout the shop floor and the tills.
• ·      Replenishes the sales floor – involves movement of stock and lifting.
• ·      Stays familiar with products, concepts, and merchandise information
• ·      Keep the selling area, clean and well maintained
• ·      Serves customers on the tills, reports, handles all required transactions, issues the receipts and packs merchandise in a proper and efficient manner.
• ·      Prior Experience in retail preferable. 
• ·      Good Communication skills
• ·      Ability to work flexible hours and Friday/Saturday evenings.
• ·      Knowledge of wine or a WSET qualification would obviously be an advantage
• ·      Knowledge of Epos desirable
• ·      General housekeeping

Once given the right training you will also be able to work under your own initiative and be confident upselling wine and spirits to customers. You will have a good knowledge of wine and food pairing.

 Full time role is spread over 5 working days, Tuesday to Saturday.  Must be available Friday and Saturday evenings up to 10pm.
