Retail Marketing Executive with a focus on growing online business (Part-time, c. 20-25 hours per week)
Woodchester Valley Vineyard are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking, experienced marketing executive to join our team. The role encompasses our overall marketing but with a particular focus on digital marketing and helping to grow our online business, focussing on customer acquisition and customer journey. The right candidate must have experience in digital marketing and ideally an interest in wine (wine qualifications are not essential).
Who We Are
We are a family run English vineyard and winery located in the Stroud Valleys with our main base in South Woodchester. We focus on making quality still and sparkling wines, from grapes all grown on site and made in our winery. We have won multiple awards for our wines, including a Master medal for our Sauvignon Blanc in the Global Sauvignon Blanc Masters in 2023. We have our own retail shop, we run a busy schedule of tours and events and we have a small number of guest rooms and self-catering accommodation.
The role and key responsibilities
Overall Marketing: Responsibility for putting together marketing campaigns and our marketing calendar, working alongside management. This includes our digital marketing strategy as well as working with our sales team to enhance the customer experience on site (in our shop, tasting room) and online.
· Actioning of marketing campaigns and calendar, providing reports and analysis of marketing initiatives.
· You will work alongside the sales team with regular meetings to implement the marketing strategy. Responsibility for reporting and ensuring strategy is implemented.
· Website: Improving/working on our SEO strategy, ensuring our website is kept up to date and maintained, working alongside our external website developers if required.
· Creating content, blogs and ensuring a smooth customer journey through our website – this includes purchasing wine, booking tours & booking stays.
· Mailing list: Responsibility for maintaining and growing our mailing list.
· Creation of our regular newsletter (good copy writing skills required)
· Social Media: Running our social media platforms and growing our social media presence – content creation, customer interaction, social media advertising
· Non-digital advertising/marketing: A smaller element of the role but this would include reviewing our print advertising campaigns and managing this budget.
Requirements/qualifications
· Previous role/experience in digital marketing essential
· Ability to work with different software, including Mailchimp.
· Previous experience running/maintaining websites – adding copy, maintaining content and stock. Knowledge and experience of SEO preferred.
· Experience using social media platforms
· Excellent copy writing skills & content creation
· Hardworking, can-do attitude
· Excellent organisational skills
· Enthusiasm, adaptability, independence, confidence, team player
· Interest in wine highly preferred.
Hours
The role is part time – c. 20-25 per week. Mornings - Monday to Friday. This is an office-based role at our site in South Woodchester.
