Account Manager (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

About us

The Grape Exchange is a rapidly expanding, relatively young business, based in the South of England. Our aim is to connect growers and winemakers with buyers, from around the UK. We pride ourselves on only trading fruit and wine from the UK between producers and growers, offering sales and marketing support along the way.

We are excited about our expansion and are now in a position to offer the position of an Account Manager.

This is an exciting, fast paced role, based amongst the fastest growing industry in the UK. We are comprised of a small, but friendly team, all of whom are passionate about the UK wine industry. We are looking for a pro-active individual who shares our passion and a proven track record in sales and meeting targets, ideally with a portfolio of strong connections within the industry.

The ideal candidate must be able to travel to Lewes (East Sussex) for one day per week, with the possibility to work remotely for the other four and must have the ability to visit clients when necessary.

Hours

·        Full time, with the ability to flex hours as required

Key Responsibilities

·        Build and maintain a database of buyers and sellers of bulk wine and grapes around the UK 

·        Maintain customer relationships through regular communication 

·        Produce and deliver sales of bulk wine and grapes, working towards pre-determined sales targets 

·        Ensure that databases and the company website are kept up-to-date with any available fruit / wine 

·        Assist with administrative data collection when necessary (i.e. around harvest time)

·        Assist with producing and enforcing new sales campaigns

·        Report sales progress directly to the Company Director

Requirements

·        A proven track record in target-based sales of at least 3 years

·        Educated to a minimum of WSET L3

·        Proven ability to hit sales targets

·        Able to work independently for long periods

·        Good understanding of the UK wine industry

·        Right to work in the UK

·        Full clean UK driving licence, with your own transport

·        Good communication skills

·        Good degree of computer literacy

·        Prior relationships with wineries / vineyards around the UK
