An opportunity has arisen for a motivated brewer to join our friendly team. The successful candidate will be equally happy shift brewing or carrying out quality control and compliance measures.  A passion for beer and brewing innovation is essential, as well as dedication to quality and self-improvement. 

As a minimum a Brewing Degree (or associated discipline) would be expected, though IBD General Certificate working towards Diploma level would be considered. Some hands on professional brewing experience will also be required as well.

 

Following the breweries relocation 2 years ago and the expansion to 80hl Brewhouse, we are currently in the process of commissioning our own bottling and kegging facilities to bring all packaging in house. We are particularly keen to develop our craft beers (the Black Range) which complement and promote our very  successful core range in cask and bottle, and enables us to experiment with new materials and techniques.

Duties to include:

• Aiding in the day to day running of the brewery

• Shift brewing

• Recipe design

• Yeast management

• Management of QC 

• Ensuring compliance (the brewery has SALSA accreditation).

• Overseeing filtration, carbonation and all packaging

• Microbiological work and laboratory development

• Reporting to the head brewer and covering that role for holidays and illness

A driving license is required.

Salary dependent on experience
