Are you looking to get your first job in the wine industry? We are offering a 3 month internship, which for the right candidate, has the potential to lead to a permanent position.
Slurp.co.uk is an online wine, beers and spirits retailer based in Banbury, Oxfordshire. Now under new ownership, we are looking for an individual with a strong interest in the wine industry to assist us in building the brand. The initial project will involve liaising with the Purchasing team to obtain the latest information about products and updating the bespoke Slurp content management system. You may also be required to answer the Slurp phone line, directing enquiries to the relevant department.
The internship will last 3 months, depending on the skill set of the applicant, there may be opportunities to add sales (via email and phone) and marketing responsibilities (updating the website with the latest press coverage, social media and promotions) to the internship.
Who we’re looking for
· You must have an interest in the wine industry and basic knowledge of wine – formal qualifications are not necessary, but are an advantage.
· Minimum GCSE Grade C in English and Maths – excellent written and spoken English is important for this role, as it will involve writing product descriptions.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
