Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, Old Luxters is home to 'Chiltern Valley Wines', its Vineyard, Winery, Old Luxters Brewery, Liqueur making facilities and cellar shop. Our first vines were planted in 1982 on the slopes of the Chiltern Hills, surrounded by beech woodland and overlooking the beautiful Hambleden Valley near Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, UK. Old Luxters to this day is still owned and run by the Ealand family.

Job Description

To guide customers around the site on their 2 hour Tour & Tasting safely and informatively ensuring customers leave with a positive impression of the business, have an enjoyable experience as well as maximising sales through the cellar shop.

This role also involves the scheduling of our daily tours to other tour guides. we run about 20+ tours during the busy months.

Job Responsibilities

- Set up and full prep for your tours including setting the tasting area and cellar shop

- Re-stocking cellar shop

- Hosting 2 hour tour sessions

- Operating epos till & completing end of day financial reporting

- Locking up and securing the site

- Managing the rota of the tour guide schedule held on a excel doc

- Managing & facilitating the schedule of private tour enquiries

- Encouraging and creating ways to increase private tour sales

- Expanding the off site tasting aspect of the business.

- Ensuring tour supplies are stocked & ordered in a timely manner.

- Full driving license essential and own transport.

- Excellent customer service and public speaking skills

- Good team player & good organizational skills

Salary & Hours

- 40 hour week including some weekends [rota to be discussed]

- Suggested working pattern

❖ Week 1 & 3 Mon - Fri ~ 9:30am - 6pm

❖ Week 2 & 4 Wed-Sun ~ 9:30am - 6pm

- £28,500 gross annual salary + 3% commission on sales

- 28 Days/yr holiday

- Pension scheme
