Market & Category Insights Manager (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

Reporting to: Marketing Director
Main Purpose: Support business growth in the UK and overseas through the provision of superior and timely market and category insights
Place of Work: Home based, some UK and overseas travel required
Hours: 40 hours a week
 
As a result of an internal promotion, a fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our Marketing team.
 
Duties/ requirements:
 
Provide in-market Sales teams with relevant market, consumer and category insights, and recommendations to drive growth for Broadland Wineries and its customers.
Commission and manage market research projects to support business requirements and address data gaps.
Support marketing planning and the development of brand plans.
Stimulate/ inform Broadland Wineries’ portfolio development through the use of primary and secondary research sources.
Provide competitor intelligence for the UK and other relevant markets. 
 
Key skills/ competencies required:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in consumer research or category management.
• Thorough knowledge of qualitative and quantitative market research methodologies.
• Ideally experience working with shopper insights and retail audit/ consumer panel data.
• Self-motivated, with excellent organisational, project management and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Wine-trade experience highly advantageous.
• Educated to at least degree level or equivalent, preferably with postgraduate qualification in market research, marketing or business disciplines.
