We have 3 positions available for various shifts to work within a Laboratory for a rapidly expanding business who supply wines & spirits to the UK retail trade.

Shifts available:

1 x 10pm-6am Nights Monday to Friday (40 hours) Grade + 33.3% shift – Salary £23,925

1 x 10p-6am Nights Sunday to Thursday (40 hours) Grade + 33.3% shift – Salary £23,925

1 x Weekend 6am-6pm, Sat, Sun and Mon (36 hours) Grade + 26.25% shift – Salary £20,440

The LABORATORY TECHNICIAN will be responsible for:

• Routine analysis of wine and spirit samples involving a variety of methods including manual titrations, distillations, pH measurement and organoleptic assessments.
• Calculation of additions to bulk product.
• Micro-biological testing of wine samples.
• Ensuring packaging meets defined specifications.
• Calibration and maintenance of lab equipment.
• Quality Control checks on finished product.

The successful candidate should have experience of working in an accredited laboratory within a FMCG environment preferably within the drinks industry and have Microbiologist experience. They would be expected to work as part of a team and unsupervised under their own initiative, work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities. They should have good IT skills due to a level of data input.
