Hours of work: 0830 – 1645 Monday to Friday with 45 minutes lunch
Job Description
To establish and understand user requirements for change, and translate these into an agreed specification of requirements against which systems or changes can be developed within agreed timescales. Development will take place by programming and design using tools and skills expected to perform the job.MAIN JOB PURPOSE
Education / Skill:
(The minimum level of education/qualification and/or experience to perform the job, excluding any on-the-job specific company training)
Visual Basic (and VBA), Access Development, SQL and Query. Previous experience in a similar analytical role. Knowledge and experience of ETL processes. Good working knowledge of SSRS, SSAS and SSIS
Additional Training:
The length of time necessary to enable a qualified job holder to carry out all the functions of the job to an acceptable performance standard)
Familiarity with Kingsland data structures and processes, top the level that the post-holder can begin to develop a viable data warehouse and determine process changes is expected to take 6 months from taking up the post
Responsibility for product/customer service/business support:
(The extent to which the job involves the responsibility for the quality and quantity of output)
Responsible for the support and maintenance of Kingsland’s IT systems developed by the post-holder or their predecessors. Validation and revision of documentation of systems and user output that they are determined to be responsible for.
Responsibility for information/finance:
(The extent to which the job requires the safe-keeping of information and/or cash lapses of which may/could result in financial, commercial, credibility or other loss either internally or externally)
Responsible for ensuring adequate backup and access control of systems developed whilst in post,
Problem Solving:
(The level of independence the job holder had to exercise ingenuity, initiative and judgement without prior reference to their supervision/management, and the complexity of the decisions and the importance of the subsequent impact of the decisions)
Autonomous problem solving and analytical skills.
