We are looking for an organised, communicative and proactive Supply Chain Assistant to join our energetic team.
Job Title : Supply Chain Assistant (this is a new position)
Reports to : Jim Giordan (Supply Chain Manager)
Salary : Salary £23,000-£25,000 depending on experience
Location: Jascots HQ, The Observatory, Old Oak Common Lane NW10 6DX
Hours : 08:30 - 17:30
Start Date : 1 October
The Role : Working with the supply chain manager, your purpose is to actively manage supply chain activities to maximize value and achieve a sustainable competitive advantage. You will be demand planning and organising the transfer of wines from producers and suppliers through to bonded warehouses and Jascots' distribution centre. Subject to performance we see this as a role that will develop over time and also has the opportunity for promotion. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring continuity of stocks
- Monitoring stocks and sales
- Purchase order processing
- Liaison with suppliers
- Liaison with freight forwarders
- Ensuring the accuracy of all stock records
- Initiating the vintage change procedure
- Early briefing of stock issues
Required knowledge, skills and competencies:
- A Level maths or better (preferably stats)
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Have worked with Sage/JDA or equivalent
- Naturally analytical and evidence based
- Experience of demand planning
- Good communication skills
Desired knowledge, skills and competencies:
- Forecast modelling skills
- SQL query reporting skills
- Database management skills
- Fluent in either French (preferred)/Italian/Spanish
- Knowledge of AWRS/EMCS/importing wine to the UK
- Worked with or for a bonded facility
- Alcohol legislation & regulation experience
- WSET - Intermediate (or equivalent)
