Prestige Account Manager (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

An exciting position working with a small team to grow the Prestige Accounts Division of an Italian Wine Producer, Importer and Distributor. 

Zonin UK are the London based subsidiary of Zonin 1821, one of the most important Italian wine producers and one of the foremost worldwide. The company’s historic headquarters is located in Gambellara in the province of Vicenza in north-eastern Italy, where they have been making wine for 200 years.  The family have estates in Piedmont, Lombardy, Veneto, Friuli, Tuscany, Apulia and Sicily. It also owns one winery in Barboursville, Virginia.

In addition to the wines of the Zonin family estates, Zonin UK also imports and distributes a select range of wines from all around the world that embrace the companies ethos of “each region has its own traditions, each region has its own wines”. The extended portfolio includes Maison Antoine Geoffroy and Champagne de Venoge.

The successful candidate would inherit and be responsible for a list of stellar prestige accounts while also managing and growing a small team. 

Other responsibilities include:

·         Developing listings and volumes in prestige venues focused on fine wine portfolio. 

·         Looking after regional wholesalers.  

·         Achieving and exceeding turnover, net profitability to targets. Some P&L responsibility. 

·         Working directly with a growing premium external Agency portfolio complementing our own Italian Estates. 

·         Work closely with the Marketing team in overseeing market and winemaker visits and events.

·         Promoting and leading educational visits to wine estates.     

Candidate will:

·         Have excellent personal skills.

·         Be articulate, well presented, and confident in their approach.

·         Possess a high standard of wine knowledge – WSET certification is preferred (minimum of Advanced)

·         Be experienced in the wine industry – a minimum of 5 years wine sales experience is required

·         Have excellent communication skills.  Reporting of work activity and progress is required

·         Be an independent self-starter, tenacious and well organised.  

·         Have a broad network of contacts across the on and off trade

WSET qualifications (minimum Advanced) preferred

5 years wine sales experience

Salary: Flexible based on experience + OTB

Based: Home / Field (with occasional visit to the Richmond Office)
