National Accounts Manager (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

The fundamental purpose of this role is to support the National Accounts Manager in growing national sales through a proactive approach to developing customer relationships with new and existing accounts and increasing overall sales.

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience

Account Management:

  • Increase sales from existing customer base
  • Build loyal relationships with new and existing customers
  • Maximise sales through upselling and consult on premium options
  • Strategic prospecting of remote key accounts
  • Maintain good GP through careful tendering
  • Add value and increase service levels to all accounts
  • Develop and expand relationships with key brands
  • Proactive approach to promoting Speciality Drinks and brand loyalty

Supporting the National Accounts Manager:

  • Upselling and recommendations
  • Tender inputting
  • Data capture
  • Accounts opening procedures
  • Progress reporting
  • Regular communication and updates on ongoing tasks
  • Supporting with any additional business critical requests

Supporting NCRT:

  • Product knowledge advice
  • Running analytical reports
  • Support with any business requirements during peak times

Other:

  • Monthly reporting and sales analysis
  • Using own initiative to excel in project based tasks

Qualifications and Experience

  • Strong Spirits and Champagne Knowledge. WSET Level 2 certificate desirable
  • Ability to communicate with customers in an intelligent and engaging manner about spirits, trends and all aspects of the drinks industry
  • IT Literate – Excel, Word, Power Point
  • Excellent Presentation Skills – verbal and written
  • Experience of working with luxury or specialist products
  • Worked in the UK on-trade for at least 2 years
