Marketing Manager (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

Overview:

To drive the agenda of consumer and shopper understanding within the UK business, in order for PRUK to enjoy a competitive advantage.

Ensure that PRUKs brand and customer marketing initiatives are rooted in a genuine understanding of the consumer and shopper.

To be the expert in research techniques and ensure all research is carried out to a high standard, using appropriate methodologies and that learnings are properly taken into account in relevant decisionmaking.

Responsibilities:

-Delivering an Insight strategy and plan that meets the needs of the UK business.

-Create an annual research plan for all projects in order to maximise effectiveness of available spend against brands and customers.

-Own and develop shopper and consumer segmentations for PRUK and ensure relevant segments are understood and used within the business.

-Manage the Insight team’s delivery of all shopper and consumer insight projects, ensuring that they are carried out to a high standard with actionable findings.

-Establish a shopper insight practice within the UK business.

-Develop knowledge of contemporary research techniques and make sure we use the most appropriate and up-to-date methodologies

-Forge strong relationships with Insights teams at brand companies so as to ensure they have an objective knowledge of the UK and include it in their marketing decisions

-Maintain a big picture view of the UK shopper and consumer trends ensuring these are shared with Marketing, and the wider business, particularly during planning periods

-Management of BEM (Brand Equity Monitor) to ensure we maximise our investment

-Create a strategy for delivering insight from digital sources leveraging 3rd party data and our dmp.

-Develop and build upon new tools to better measure our digital activations.

Qualifications:

Essential

-Degree calibre

-Experience of all main Quant and Qual research

-Techniques e.g. brand and advertising tracking, ad

-Pre-testing, online communities

-Use of focus groups and analysis and interpretation

-FMCG

-Previous roles in both agency research and client environment

Desirable

-Business or marketing specific degree

-Member of Market Research Society

-CIM qualification

- Applied knowledge and experience of how digital

platforms can be used to communicate and

engage with audiences effectively

- On Trade experience

- Drinks industry
