Legal Advisor (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

-To act as the first point of contact for the customer marketing and brand marketing teams when drafting and designing promotions, including providing general advice on promotions and mechanics, drafting and approval of the Terms and Conditions for the promotions, reviewing any call to action and assisting with providing a summary of the terms, and ensuring all promotions are carried out in accordance with legal and CSR requirements.

-To act as a first point of contact for legal advice to the wider business of PRUK, including the commercial sales teams, operations, logistics and IT teams, drafting contracts, answering queries, giving instructions and disseminating advice as required.

-To appropriately document the company’s relationships with third parties including collating information within the business necessary to support the drafting of those contracts which may include creating templates, the management of external legal resource, as well as keeping management informed of progress.

-To provide ad hoc legal advice and support on commercial contracts and general legal queries, including sales and distribution agreements, operations agreements.

-To provide ad hoc regulatory advice when required on new product development for the UK market in relation to the drinks and alcohol sector. Including packaging and labelling requirements and compliance with The Portman Group codes and other corporate social responsibility requirements.

-To provide legal advice with appropriate seminars and training support on compliance matters for relevant functions and contacts throughout the business, including training on promotional compliance 

-Advising on contractual disputes as and when they arise.

-To provide legal advice as part of a project team for UK specific projects for example, developing a new product, new distributions opportunities or partnering with third parties.

-Ensuring the appropriate records of all commercial arrangements are kept up to date. 

-To work in partnership and to develop relationships across the business and the wider group, including liaising as necessary the wider Pernod Ricard legal team as required.

-Working with and supervising input from external legal counsel.

-Any other reasonable duties as appropriate.

- This role will report to the Senior Legal Counsel 

-This role will work closely with the Customer and Brand Marketing teams, and will also work in partnership and develop relationships across the business and wider group as well as supporting the commercial sales teams.
