About Indigo Wine
Established in 2003, Indigo Wine has won the Specialist Merchant of the Year for Spain Award at the International Wine Challenge eight times. We work directly with small growers who tend towards an artisanal approach from Spain, France, Italy, Austria, Germany, Australia, South Africa, Chile and 5 other countries. Our customers cover Michelin starred restaurants to Gastropubs and Independent Merchants to National Retailers. We are a highly respected name in the UK wine trade and are also part of the Dirty Dozen tasting group.
We are looking to expand on the success and growth that we have seen in the last 14 years and this Sales role will be central to achieving that.
About the role
Sales which could be focused towards on and/or off trade
Customer staff training
Working closely with our Marketing manager to coordinate the sales and marketing strategy
Planning and attending wine tastings and events
The ability to have close contact with our suppliers and have influence on product development
Successful candidates will ideally have the following:
A proven track record in sales which could be in the on or off trade
Great people skills and a friendly manner
A passion for and knowledge of wine to at least WSET Advanced level
Good written and computer skills
The desire and ability to take on additional responsibilities and progress within the company
French and/or Spanish language proficiency is an advantage though not a prerequisite
