Majestic Wines are the largest wine specialist in the UK with over 200 stores, as well as a very significant online presence, and megastores in France.

This transformation is brought to life by our talented team at the Support Centre, Watford. Headed up by John Colley, MD of Retail, the Support Centre houses all departments working behind the scenes such as Customer, People, IT, Transformation and Finance.
We want to offer our in-store teams the very best support with any technical queries or isssues and as such we have an opportunity available to join us at this exciting time in the role of IT Support Analyst.
Role: Responsible for providing high quality application, technical and business support to the user community within Majestic Retail in the UK and Majestic Calais in France.
Responsibilities:
- The support encompass all computer hardware (mobile, fixed & POS devices), networking (fixed and wireless) application software and telecommunications (fixed and mobile).
- Receive and resolve queries (via telephone, email and helpdesk) from users.
- Ensure all non-trivial and unresolved calls are accurately logged.
- Escalate calls as appropriate to in house 2nd/3rd line support or external service providers.
- Configure and deploy new/replacement end user hardware. Configure and deploy new/replacement POS hardware including on site installation.
- Assist with Quality Control testing of new and modified functionality.
- Assist with software compliance auditing.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Previous IT experience is preferred, or any knowledge of core IT skills, eg Networking/Servers
- Good at managing workloads and prioritising tasks.
- Effective communication.
- People/personable skills.
