Group Wine Manager (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

We’re looking for an experienced Group Wine Manager to join us at Hawksmoor and Foxlow. Supporting our growing teams of wine managers and sommeliers, you’ll focus on creating a strong wine culture for staff and customers. You’ll also take responsibility for the revenue, profitability and quality of wine at Hawksmoor Group, including buying, financial analysis, training and operations relating to wine for all of our existing and future restaurants. Based at our office in Wapping, but mostly working flexibly across each of the restaurants, you’ll be happy to travel (to meet suppliers, growers and producers too).

Responsibilities Include:

• Leading and supporting the wine managers within the restaurants. Training and main-taining their knowledge on wine, writing wine lists, and training staff within their restaurants. 
• Teaching WSET in-house to staff (level 2 ideal, level 3 a bonus).
• Working with our internal training team to maintain the highest standards and develop a program for engaging training from induction level onwards.
• Supporting new restaurants during their opening stages in writing new lists, setting up systems and training staff
• Managing revenue and cost for wine and analysing financial performance. Setting and maintaining targets, reporting monthly. 
• Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers. 
• Responsibility for group listings and deals on larger volume wines, and the sourcing of exclusive wines.
