The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Finance and Operations Assistant to join our dynamic team in London. The successful applicant will fill a key supporting role within our company as part of the Finance and Operations team and will report to the Finance and Administration Manager. This is a multi-faceted, full-time position for a pro-active candidate who wants to contribute to the future shape of our company. This role includes responsibilities encompassing purchasing, stock management, bookkeeping and sales and marketing support.
Responsibilities include:
· Create Purchase Orders and organise shipping logistics including liaising with Suppliers and transportation companies
· Stock take and stock reconciliation weekly and monthly
· Credit control including issuing statements and calling customers
· Recording cash payments, cash receipts and bank transactions into Sage
· Set up payments in the banking system
· Update and maintain monthly cash flow report
· Produce reports from Sage on stock, sales, etc.
· Input expenses in Sage including credit card statements and staff expenses
· Other activities in Sage and our Sales Support System
· Ad hoc reporting as required
· Providing proactive support to the team as necessary
Qualifications and Experience:
· Previous experience in a multi-functional professional environment is critical – experience working in sales admin, office management, operations, finance and/or accounting is desirable
· Educated to GCSE A level
· Confident at using Excel, Word, Outlook and Powerpoint
· Ideally have experience using the Sage Accounting Package
