Export Assistant (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

A permanent position has arisen to work for one of the UK's most prestigious wine producers in their Head Office in London.

Overall purpose

To manage growth in existing export markets and identify, research and manage launching in new profitable markets.

Key Responsibilities

• To conduct detailed analysis of routes to market in new countries.

• To work with Finance, Legal and production teams to ensure regulatory compliance.

• To work with marketing and coordinate brand launches in new markets.

• To manage the production of annual brand plans in conjunction with the Nyetimber and distributor marketing teams.

• Setting and delivering volume, value and margin targets by product.

• Developing strategy and targets in conjunction with partners, communicating with and incentivising sales teams to ensure targets are met.

• To report on and manage P&L’s by market.

• To manage international customer visits to the Vineyard.

• Regular contact with international partners and research to gain a thorough understanding of each market and keep up to date with developments. 

• To monitor competition by gathering current market information on pricing, products and promotional activity.

• To manage allocations and stock availability in conjunction with the Winemaker and Finance.

• Act as Brand Ambassador within export markets.

• To produce forecasts to feed into the company’s long term plans.

• Undertake any prescribed training as required.

• Undertake such other duties commensurate with the responsibilities of the role and any other reasonable management request.

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience working on a Sales/Admin team
• Spanish - highly desirable
