An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join our busy Shipping team.
Key responsibilities:
Management of ex-cellar transactions (customers’ direct orders, including relevant reporting).
- Liaison with the sales team, customers, suppliers and hauliers
- Ex-cellars invoice processing
- Forecasting of Portuguese and South American stock requirements in line with business profile, seasonality and promotions contributing to the company’s overall stock management
- Control and monitor supplier allocations in collaboration with buyers & Brand mangers
- Accurate entry of purchase orders and proforma verification
- Continually look for ways to maximise efficiencies within Shipping
- Associated stock control system maintenance – updating NAV and Liberty Pricing System with new vintages, freight and cost prices, reserving new vintage stock.
- Overseeing the delivery of orders into the bonded and duty paid warehouses, as well as any direct deliveries
- Monitor and performance manage freight forwarders to ensure value-for-money coupled with good service
- Any task associated with the Shipping department reasonably requested to undertake
- Input into strategy and development of the Shipping team and the wider back office function
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Some experience in stock planning, preferably in the drinks industry
- Excellent attention to detail with strong communication skills
- Numerate and computer literate, including Microsoft Office
- Organised, flexible and self-motivated
- Team player
- Able to work under pressure
- Good level of written and spoken Portuguese & Spanish would be an advantage
- Knowledge of wine desirable but not essential
Salary and Benefits:
Salary is dependent on experience with the following:
- Personal bonus of up to 5% of salary based on performance against key objectives
