Role summary
The Education Officer is responsible for the annual delivery of organising and administering the MW Study Programme. The job is customer facing and requires excellence in service and communication, attention to detail and a high level of organisational and administrative skills.
The Institute of Masters of Wine seeks an Education Officer to help deliver the Institute’s globally renowned Study Programme and Examinations. We are looking for a highly organised person, with experience in administration and/or events management, who is a friendly and self-assured team player, confident in all areas of this busy and varied role. The Education Officer is responsible for the annual delivery of organising and administering the MW Study Programme. The job is customer facing, therefore, requires excellence in service and communication, attention to detail and a high level of organisational and administrative skills.
The Education Officer deals with enquiries on a daily basis from students, Masters of Wine, members of the wine trade and general public. The successful candidate will therefore have strong inter-personal skills, ability to communicate tactfully under pressure, and be discreet and trustworthy.
Competence of Word, Excel and Outlook is essential. The post-holder should be able to work on their own initiative to deal with frequently changing priorities, have strong writing skills and respect the need for confidentiality. Fluent written and spoken English is essential. An interest in wine would be helpful, but not essential.
The role involves the occasional moving of cases of wine with the handling of both sealed and open wine.
