Demand Planner – 6 month FTC (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

Overview

Reporting to the Demand Planning Manager, the Demand Planner will be responsible for the planning and execution of the company’s stock replenishment. The role will encompass ownership of product availability and warehouse stockholding for their shipping responsibilities. This is a position that demands accuracy and efficiency in all tasks. Whilst team based, this role carries accountability for products from defined geographical regions. The role is a highly visible one within the business supply chain function and demands effective communication to all levels within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Maximising stock availability, across all stocked items within defined regions, in line with the forecast
  • Exceeding KPI targets for availability and warehouse stock levels.
  • Working closely with suppliers - managing allocations and product demand, vintages and production plans
  • Placing purchase orders with suppliers to ensure availability for forecast demand
  • Inventory management. Demand Planner expected to have a detailed knowledge of stock holding for designated SKU’s
  • Working closely with Demand Planning Coordinator to ship efficiently, as well as managing an end-to-end purchase order process to ensure stock arrives on time and in full
  • Ensuring timely communication with the rest of the business in respect of replenishment dates and potential supply issues

REQUIREMENTS

Skills required

  • Demonstrate good end to end knowledge of SCM
  • This role would suit an organised candidate with excellent attention to detail and an analytical approach.
  • A clear communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the business
  • A team player, with a proven track record of problem solving and the ability to manage time effectively is required.
  • High attention to detail
  • Tenacity
  • High level of numeracy with the ability to understand trends and anomalies within data
  • An interest in the product and a willingness to learn are prerequisites. Language skills (Italian/Spanish) would be useful in this role.
  • Previous experience in an FMCG supply chain environment advantageous
  • This is a fixed 6 month contract with the possibility of full time at the end of the contract
