Customer Account Executive (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

Overview:

Pernod Ricard Travel Retail EMEA’s commercial focus is to manage and develop the Company’s direct business with key travel retail customers based in the EMEA region as well as their subsidiary operations across the world.

Travel Retail in EMEA is a multi-channel retail environment with customers drawn from all over the world. The market is highly competitive and dominated by Off Trade retailers with global operations.

Commercial acumen, cultural awareness and an understanding of global and local brand consumption habits is essential.

Key Purpose: 

To support and assist Line Manager in developing the company's key major retail customers, as well as having direct responsibility for a portfolio of key retail customers and will have full responsibility for delivering sales volumes in line with company targets/budgets, whilst staying within pre agreed investment level.

Responsibilities:

  • Visit direct WDF airports in UK on a regular basis to identify key opportunities, develop business and grow market share/volume
  • Co-ordination of agency Brand Ambassadors and their activities across key WDF airports, setting out clear goals and objectives.
  • Identify key tools and skills to develop BA’s and hold at least 2 review meetings per year

  • Ensure that all training needs are covered, brand training Chivas Masters etc.
  • Building relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including but not limited to, WDF Retail and Category Managers, promotional agencies and Brand Ambassadors.
  • Macro and micro space management and the negotiation of space allocations for WDF airports.
  • Track major competitor activity and report potential impact on key Pernod Ricard brands.
  • Report and compete monthly analysis in line with business requirements, includes posting activity on Chatter
  • Work closely with Customer Marketing team, finance and operations teams to ensure key brand strategies are met.
  • Regular liaison with Supply Chain as required to manage customer forecasts in line with company expectations.
  • Work with WDF consumer insights team to identify passenger trends and opportunities across key UK airport
  • Identify key opportunities for PRTR for the new WDF ‘click and collect’ service
  • Regular analysis of sales depletion data and reports with recommendations.

    Retail price survey to be conducted on monthly basis

    Manage Duty Paid tasting stock for BAs, tasting promos, malt of the month etc.

    Manage travel/business costs in line with budgets

    Attend WDF liquor roadshows in UK.

  • Ad hoc duties as required
  • To develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders within Commercial customer base.
  • To identify and build strong partnership to ensure that Pernod Ricard benefit from any opportunities.
  • Build relationship with Dufry/WDF head office management, retail sites and category managers.
  • Establish and build strong working relationship with key digital contacts within Dufry/WDF to facilitate key PRTREMEA digital projects.

Qualifications

Formal education, professional qualifications or accreditations from industry bodies

Degree calibre

 WSET

 2nd European language

Experience

Type and length of functional/ professional experience required to achieve key deliverables

Previous commercial and account management experience

Travel retail commercial experience
