Salary: Up to £40,000 depending on experience, pension.
The Brand Manager is responsible for the strategic direction and day to day running of a portfolio of premium Wine brands, as well as overall category responsibility. This position must also drive sustainable and profitable sales.

From our three UK depots we offer a national service with a local touch, reaching all sectors of the On and Off Trade.
The Opportunity
This role offers a real and practical chance to utilise marketing flair and discipline; using rational and commercial solutions which are easily understood and actionable by the Berkmann sales team.
This role will provide the appointed individual with an excellent opportunity to personally grow and develop and there will be several challenges within the first 12 months; these will include successful integration into the team and business, as well as the need to develop detailed brand knowledge.
Job Function
The successful applicant will foster strong relationships with the brand owner to drive the strategic direction of the brand and ultimately assume responsibility for performance. You will be responsible for forecasting sales, creating a budget and working closely with the sales team to achieve that budget – there is a sizeable commercial element to this role. You will be positive and proactive, working within a results driven team and display an entrepreneurial “can do” attitude.
The role will require you to organise tastings, events, competitions, promotions, travel arrangements for visiting suppliers and winery visits as well as working with the press to further raise the profile and awareness of both our brands and Berkmann Wine Cellars.
Requirements
Analytical, numerate, commercially astute, excellent interpersonal skills; confident; outgoing and personable with the ability to plan and manage tastings plus other ‘after hours’ events. Excellent written and verbal communication is essential. Marketing experience within the drinks industry is essential. The successful applicant will have an extensive knowledge of the principal categories of international wines and their styles.
