Brand Manager (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

We are looking for an experienced, ambitious, proactive and creative marketer who will own the brand P&L’s, develop their strategies, optimise their proposition in the UK market. You will be required to work closely with key internal and agency stakeholders to lead the strategic development of annual multi-channel brand plans for a selected number of important agencies & products.

You will need to lead communications & activation development to create value for our key agency brands by building brand equity with the consumers over the long term, while creating tools for sales promotion to support short term sales achievement. You will develop focused selling stories which will be delivered with impact to the broader business and customers to share the exciting brand stories and generate brand passion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creation of annual brand plans
  • Creation of clear, creative, commercial activity plans
  • Management and reporting of brand P&L’s and performance
  • Optimising spend and generating positive ROI
  • Management of new product launches
  • In-depth evaluation of brand activity
  • Communication and sell in of these plans to internal and external customers
  • Accompanying sales teams to key customer meetings
  • Act as brand ambassador for the key agency brands in the UK
  • Management of customer travel to and from Brand Owners
  • Company and/or brand social media engagement where required
  • Monitoring of competitor activity and analysis
  • Monthly reporting to internal management team and agencies

Employee Profile

  • 3-5 years’ experience in brand/product management (ideally in branded food, drinks or luxury categories)
  • Strong copy writing skills with excellent written English
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Confident and credible
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Tenacious with strong project management skills & attention to detail
  • Ambition, determination, creativity and flexibility
  • Team orientated with excellent interpersonal skills
  • An effective internal and external networker
  • Italian, French or Spanish speaker an advantage
  • WSET level 3+ preferable (or be working towards this)
  • Has a love of food and wine and social media
  • Knowledge of Adobe or other image editing software is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of and contacts in the fine dining and/or wine sector.
