We have an exciting pportunity in our Wine Rack Store in Belsize Park as Assistant Manager.
Wine Rack has been wine, champagne and spirit specialists since 1987.

We’re looking for an outgoing and enthusiastic individual who can provide invaluable support to their Manager to drive store performance.
We would require some flexibility with your hours as we are open days, nights and weekends.

THE ROLE:
As an Assistant Store Manager you will assist the store manager in Maximising sales, lead, inspire and motivate the team. You will need to ensure that your branch is open and ready for trading at all specified times.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Manage the efficient operation of the store to achieve maximum sales whilst controlling costs.
b) You will be required to lead, inspire and motivate your team to provide unrivalled customer service.
c) Merchandising and correct pricing of products as to comply with current legislation.
d) Observance of company rules and legal requirements.
e) Budget Management: Wage cost and sales.
f) Stock control: Ordering and management.
g) Implementing all company directives.
h) Planning: long and short term plans for sales improvement.
i) People Management: to assist the Store Manager with recruitment, training, staff management and Discipline.
j) Health & safety compliance and general housekeeping.
k) Carry out any extra reasonable request of the Area Manager.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a) Experience in a similar retail role, ideally retail experience.
b) Proven experience of cash handling and cashing up.
c) Result driven, Customer focused, Organised and practically minded.
