Acquisition Manager (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

We are looking for a highly entrepreneurial and commercial individual who will formulate and execute a strategy to deliver the requisite number of customers across all channels in order to achieve business KPIs.  The role will offer a wide-ranging experience of both online and offline acquisition marketing activities.

Key Responsibility:

 Strategic and executional ownership of all customer acquisition activities, instore & online,from concept, test and learn, through to successful delivery and on-going enhancement.

 Delivery of set KPIs: quantitative (new customer traffic volumes / footfall to stores delivered under an agreed CPA threshold conversion, retention levels and LTV) and qualitative.

 Formulate and execute a digital marketing acquisition strategy with the objective of optimising ROIs across existing key channels (SEO/PPC/PLA/Programmatic/Re-targeting/Affiliates) while seeking to exploit new technologies/opportunities as they become available

 Formulate and execute a strategy for social media and content marketing to maximise new customer acquisition through these channels as well as build brand engagement and advocacy.

 Formulate and execute a multi-channel partnership strategy;

 P&L responsibility for subscription services; deliver best-in-class suite of services (inc. product, technology, communications etc.) to recruit and retain customers who deliver high LTV; 

Key Acitvities:

 Secure exec team and board endorsement of new customer acquisition strategy, activity plan and budget;

 Communicate agreed activities to internal stakeholders across different business departments; define objectives; set up cross functional teams as required to execute.

 Continuous optimisation of performance marketing investment: prioritisation of opportunities,planning and execution, analysis and reporting, learning and refinement of approach

 P&L accountability for Acquisition and Subscription activities: define, monitor and refine the offer and all marketing activities to optimise acquisition and retention of subscription customers; e.g. trigger e-mails, specific campaigns, partnership marketing and in-store activity;

 Work with colleagues and outside agencies to identify and rank new opportunities for trial

 Work with colleagues to execute trials of new activities; rank performance against agreed metrics, champion successful activities and cull under-performers.

 Monitor all digital marketing activities and put in place processes with employees and agencies to drive over-performance

 Nurture the brand’s presence across social media channels and work with creative resource to ensure content is both on-brand and optimised to deliver commercial KPIs;

 Initiate and ‘own’ key partnership relationships to test, refine and build a series of scalable and replicable activities online and offline that deliver against new customer acquisition targets

 Report on performance of agreed activities against KPIs across all channels against budget and forecast on a weekly/monthly/ quarterly and annual basis;

 Manage expenditure to agreed annual budget and adjust the allocation of resources on an ongoing basis to maximise ROIs.

 Responsible for executing retail and web specific customer acquisition communications across all web channels
