The Role:

• We are looking to bring onto our team, an experienced and passionate Store Manager. This is the perfect role for someone looking to move to a company where your experience will truly matter. Furthermore, the role offers a great opportunity for future internal development opportunities.

Responsibility:

• Reporting directly to the Retail Group Manager and Managing Director, you will be in charge of helping launch and develop a new retail location, while supporting the current location, through promoting Friarwood’s philosophy of developing brand awareness to a new clientele.  

Tasks:

•  Engage in day-to-day dialogue with customers, advising on wine purchases and creating a passionate and professional dialogue with them – generating customer loyalty and satisfaction

• Manage all the aspects of running a retail store, including financial management, merchandising, stock control and marketing

•  Promote the business locally, online and offline, to gain new customers and promote Friarwoods “wines worth discovering”

• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and codes of ethics and ensure these are communicated and implemented within the team.

• Complete all administrative tasks and procedures to the required standard.

 

About you:

• Demonstrable knowledge of both wines and spirits as evidenced by your WSET level 3 qualifications (or equivalent).

• The capability of working independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent planning and organisational skills and strong attention to detail.

• Exceptional communication skills.

• Proficient IT skills
