You will have twelve direct reports and will report into the Head of London Sales.
Role
Responsible and accountable for the safe and efficient running of King’s Cross depot. Overall responsibility for inventory management and delivery fulfillment to the London based Commercial accounts which have a combined turnover of £16m.
Provide effective leadership, motivate, recruit, train and develop all employees in the inventory, warehouse and driver teams.
Manage stock availability targets and ensure costs in line with budget.
Control all aspects of the warehouse, prioritising workload, looking to improve operational productivity including capability, resource planning and ensure all operations satisfy performance targets.
Ensure all required records of attendance and absence are recorded to ensure accurate payment of wages.
Ensure King’s Cross depot, equipment and stock are maintained in a manner to ensure safety and security of employees, goods and property.
Lead and manage Inventory team with 1 Inventory Manager and 1 Assistant
Inventory management - working to stock holding budget and ensuring availability.
Work with Supply Chain and Commercial Support Centre teams
Work with suppliers to manage stock delivered directly into the Kings Cross depot
Maintain shrinkage within budget
Lead and manage the Warehouse & Driver team with 1 Warehouse Team Leader, 3 Warehouse Operatives and 7 drivers
Management of vehicle fleet
Manage route scheduling ensuring on time and in full fulfillment
Management of peak staffing budget and bonus
Manage the picking and despatch of all orders within delivery deadlines
Work alongside two London Sales Managers
Manage relationship between Sales and Operations team with a customer focussed approach
Responsible for ensuring established systems and procedures are followed and work on strategy to develop and improve
Knowledge/Skills
Effective communicator, self motivated, attention to detail, ability to drive improvements in warehouse and delivery efficiency and standards.
Ability to analyse and manipulate data.
A proven track record of managing successful teams. Have knowledge of Health and Safety and employment legislation.
Have the ability to build and develop strong working relationships with a variety of departments within the business.
