Trainee Manager (Wine Jobs: Wine Retail & Sommelier)

The Sampler is an innovative wine merchant in London.  We were the first retailer to use Enomatic machines in the UK which help make shopping for wine a more fun and successful experience.

We have a large and extremely diverse range of wines with particular depth in traditional rioja, grower champagne and mature bordeaux and burgundy.

We are looking for a Trainee Manager to join our team in Islington, who should possess:

  • Great people skills and a dedication to delivering an outstanding retail experience.
  • A proven passion for and knowledge of wines. Minimum WSET Level 2.
  • Significant retail experience where you can demonstrate developing your own customer base and generating ideas to improve turnover.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • The ability to take on additional responsibilities and a desire to progress within the company.
  • Proficiency in a European language would be advantageous, although not a prerequisite.
