Winery Manager
(Wine Jobs:
Management & Administration)
Full Time
Irlam, (Near Manchester) Head Office,
England
We are Kingsland Drinks. We are a premier independent UK supplier of wine and spirits to grocery retail, on and off-trade, covering a wide range of price points from every day drinking to premium range. Our roots are in Manchester, where we started over 60 years ago. Our vision is to drive sustainable growth for us and for our customers by being a world-class provider. Times and technologies have changed, but today we stand for what we’ve always stood for: bringing our customers quality products and outstanding service, responsibly.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Winery Manager to take on the management of our Winery. Based on site at our Head Office in Irlam, Manchester, you will oversee the creation of all our products – wine, British wine and spirits - whilst assisting in the development of new and improved techniques, creating new blends and flavours, and managing a small team. The importance of the role demands you work at all levels across the business - with Production, Demand Planning, the lab and of course New Product Development.
We’re looking for an experienced individual with a minimum 5 years of winemaking experience and ideally a Graduate Certificate in Wine Technology and Viticulture, who is looking to join a business that gives significant autonomy and flexibility. Your technical experience, winemaking know-how and understanding of process management will be invaluable to your continued success in role. It’s a great time to join the Kingsland family – we’re right in the middle of significant investment, we’re installing a brand new production line, and expanding our number of tanks, all greatly increasing our production capacity and manufacturing potential.
As with the majority of positions at Kingsland, the very nature of the role and our work style means there is considerable overlap across all departments within the business, so this would suit someone looking for a fast paced, flexible opportunity where your character and personality will be as highly valued as your skills and experience.
If you feel this is the right opportunity for you then please contact our recruitment partner – Veritas – on 0118 903 4914 to discuss in more detail, or forward your CV quoting ref: 5046/31gj.
Salary & Benefits: Up to £40,000 + 23 days holiday (plus bank holidays), health plan, workplace pension scheme, and free parking!
