The candidate must have a passion for viticulture and a good work ethic. Degree or Foundation Degree in Viticulture, although proven experience will also be considered. Flexibility to work long hours when required during the growing season (June – September). Ability to work independently without direct supervision with confidence to make decisions and solve problems when required. Be able to communicate with pride and passion to guests and visitors to the vineyard.
To work under the direction of the Vineyard Manager to manage all aspects of vineyard production to ensure the grapes produced are of only the highest quality for sparkling wine.
1. ensuring that all operations including, but not limited to, pruning, spraying, canopy management, maintenance, mowing, cultivating, harvesting, etc are carried out in a timely fashion as and when required;
2. to maintain and report on records of vineyard activities and historical data i.e. spraying diary, disease monitoring, key phenological dates.
